Steve's funeral service is 11:30 am on Monday, December 1, 2014
at Mountain View Memorial Park.   Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
4100 Steilacoom Blvd., Lakewood, WA 98499

Plan: Meet at the main office (signage/directions on-site). Go together for a very brief "graveside" service (Steve is actually going in a double-wide crypt, with his Dad, Steve, who died in 1990 - he missed his Dad so terribly much - and this is what he wanted). Continue to the Oak Room (in the Celebration of Life Center) to share a bit of food and a lot of Steve stories.

Questions? Call or write Becky. Steve specified in his will that we have a big party at some future point to, eat, drink, and tell more Steve stories. I hope to do that sometime in the future - knowing that most of you are far away - and hoping that you'll be able to gather with me via some type of technology.

If you'd like to make a donation in Steve's honor/memory (instead of flowers), please consider one of the organizations below - or any charity that's meaningful to you

Rabbit Advocates

You all know how much I love rabbits - and Steve did, too (and they adored him). This is a local organization that's doing a lot with very little. They have shown all of our rabbits a great deal of care and kindness (especially Steve's precious Audrey), and we have also adopted 2 rabbits from them.

The Mary Bridge Children's Foundation for use by children without means at the Speech and Hearing Center (because of his and his father's hearing loss).

For those of you who haven't seen Steve recently, he was thrilled to have (thanks to the generosity of his Mom) THE latest and greatest technology in hearing aids. Controlled by his iphone, they enabled him to do things he really loved -- like programming the GPS coordinates of places where he often encountered noisy children -- and having them be automatically "tuned out" the next time he visited, and listening to NPR (or car races) totally wirelessly via the hearing aids (so that I'd be trying to tell him something, not knowing that his lack of response was often due to track conditions, etc.!).

Using this Wiki

  • What's new? Look at RecentChanges. How to use the wiki? HelpForUsers. Or search Titles or Text (content).

  • Call Becky or email Keith for the new user password.

  • click login, then fill out the form for a new account.
    • Your username will be your first name and last name run together, for example FredFlintstone or SamExample.

    • Pick an easy-to-remember password, but not a super-secure one, definitely *not* your bank or gmail password; it will be emailed as a reminder to you once a month.
  • Set up your user page by browsing to it. Sam Example would browse to http://stevepasco.info/SamExample. Go to "Sam's" page for some examples of how to edit wiki pages - you can use the More Actions: dropdown and look at Raw Text. You can use the Attachments button to upload pictures and other files to your page. If you mess up, we'll fix it. We want your words and pictures, we'll supply the geekiness.
